Data Center Düsseldorf Infrastructure

High availability through own infrastructure

All infrastructure systems are secured for emergencies.

All infrastructure systems at our Düsseldorf site, such as air conditioning, power supply systems and security systems, are monitored and controlled by a dedicated building management system. A second, independent system also checks all relevant parameters and immediately informs the trained service technicians and the on-call service of external service providers in the event of a fault.

Even if a power connection fails, the power supply from the energy supplier's network is guaranteed at all times.

In the unlikely event of a power failure, preheated diesel generators are immediately available. These ensure that the existing battery-buffered UPS systems are supplied with power in every area of the data centre.

The in-house stockpiling of diesel fuel and supply contracts with external suppliers ensure an uninterrupted power supply for the entire infrastructure in the data centre, even in the event of long-term power outages.

Ring-shaped connection to the power network

Ring-shaped connection to the power network

The ring-shaped connection to the 10kV medium-voltage network of Stadtwerke Düsseldorf ensures that the data centres' own transformer systems are supplied with sufficient voltage at all times.

High connecting power on site

High connecting power on site

In each data centre, a connecting power of up to 10 kW/m2 can be provided across the entire data centre area. This means that there is always enough power available for customised infrastructure solutions.

Uninterrupted power supply

Uninterrupted power supply

Extensive UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) and emergency power supply systems guarantee a constant and continuous power supply to all data centres. In the event of fluctuations or failure of the power supply, these systems intervene immediately.

Fuel supply for longer outages

Fuel supply for longer outages

In the event of prolonged outages of the energy supplier, a sufficient supply of diesel fuel ensures that the entire infrastructure in all data centres is supplied with the necessary capacity.

Redundant supply lines

Redundant supply lines

The power supply at the Düsseldorf data centre is duplicated so that all data centres can continue to be supplied with power even if one line is damaged.

Monitoring the infrastructure

Monitoring the infrastructure

The entire power supply of our Düsseldorf data centre is monitored around the clock - i.e. in 24/7 mode - by the employees. In the event of any problems, the relevant technicians are informed immediately.
