The perfect exchange of knowledge is increasingly becoming a competitive advantage for companies. This is particularly true for SMEs. However, in order to provide all partners, customers and employees with the right information, a well designed communication platform is required - a dedicated extranet.
GMÖHLING Transportgeräte GmbH has recognised these advantages. So the innovative company for the design, development, construction, manufacture and sale of light metal systems defined its requirements:
- The new extranet was to ensure that internal and external employees as well as partner companies were always provided with up-to-date and comprehensive marketing materials.
- All work-relevant marketing materials are provided simply, quickly and independently. This avoids time-consuming searches.
In addition, the exchange between internal and external employees and premium sales partners is being optimised - with a dedicated forum. A new module regularly monitors developments in the individual markets. The results are published on the extranet.
The ISO 9001:2008-certified company searched throughout Germany for an innovative solution provider for this complex task. Five well-known providers were shortlisted. They were asked to examine the requirements profile in detail and submit a corresponding offer.
This had to fulfil extensive requirements: Individuality, assignment of rights, versioning and security. In addition, the technical basis for operating the solution had to be provided.
