Cologne. K3 Innovationen GmbH wins the Germany-wide tender for the new extranet of the "IQ funding programme", which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Employment Agency.
The K3 team's presentation in the preliminary decision was convincing thanks to the IntranetBOX intranet software and the experience gained from numerous extranet references.
IntranetBOX comes with a large number of modules and functions that are required of modern employee portals, extranets and knowledge databases. Another plus point for the K3 team was the very short project timeframe of 8 weeks.
ebb Entwicklungsgesellschaft für berufliche Bildung mbH is the cooperation partner in the coordination of the IQ funding programme. This programme aims to sustainably improve the labour market integration of adults with a migration background. Networks are working on this in all federal states, supported by specialist centres on migration-specific key topics.
There are currently around 240 sub-projects in the IQ funding programme across Germany. From 2015, the number of sub-projects will increase significantly once again.
The IQ coordination project (ebb GmbH) has the task of controlling knowledge management throughout the entire funding programme.
Initial situation of the extranet
The existing extranet in the IQ funding programme as a medium for the exchange of information between all members was originally designed for a number of users that has now been significantly exceeded. In order to be able to continue to ensure communication with the increasing number of members, a corresponding reorganisation of the extranet is essential.
The exchange of information is focussed primarily on the posting and downloading of templates and documents in a wide variety of file formats.
In addition, a shared calendar is used to coordinate appointments.
Aims of the new extranet
The new extranet in the IQ funding programme is intended to serve as a central location for sharing, finding and using information that is necessary for completing the wide range of tasks. In addition to passing on information, spontaneous communication and medium to long-term planning should also play a central role.
